Parenting Classes

A series of four parenting classes at Zion led by Michelle Torgerson will take place in 2014.  They will be held on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7:30pm – January 16, 23, 30 and February 6.  Zion’s Outreach Team is heading the event.  The entire community is invited to attend.

Giving Tree

In an effort to help others have a more memorable Christmas, Zion has made it an annual tradition to sponsor a Giving Tree. According to project coordinator, Lori Nastvold, in the past, Zion has generally served three to five families and given gifts to those who are homebound and in nursing homes.

“We feel that we need to make the Giving Tree stretch a little and give to a broader group of people,” says Lori. “This year, the tree will be filled with items to give to the GET School Clothes Closet at the old Kindernook building (they serve all families in the GET school district). We will also have items for shut-ins and nursing home residents, as well as any Zion families that are in great need due to illness, home disaster, loss of job, etc. (recommended by Pastor).”

The tree will be up by December 1. If you have any questions, please call Lori at 582-2701.
