Lent begins in about two weeks! This Lenten Season, Zion Lutheran is offering all its members and guests an opportunity of a lifetime… the chance to be part of a study that has already changed thousands of people’s lives and continues to change lives.
Starting Ash Wednesday, February 17th, we will start a “40 Days of Purpose” spiritual growth journey. The various parts of this journey are:
- Reading Rick Warren’s best-selling book, “The Purpose-Driven Life”, which is divided into 40 short chapters dealing with the five purpose God has for us;
- Lenten services each Wednesday evening, where we will provide all participants with a hearty meal (so don’t worry about cooking supper on Wednesdays during Lent — we’ve got you covered!), hear a 20 minute message from Pastor Rick Warren, followed by an opportunity to dig a little deeper into each week’s purpose through small-group study time.
If you want to be part of this important study, you can register at church or by calling the church office. The cost for each participant is just $15 if you need the book and just $5 (for the small-group study guide) if you already have the book. However, the deadline for registering is Monday, February 8th, so please don’t delay!
