Hospitalization
Because of privacy laws, it is no longer possible for churches to find out which members are hospitalized through the Pastoral Care department. If you will be entering the hospital and would appreciate a pastoral visit, please let the church office know. Also, if you have a friend or family member in the hospital who would like or need pastoral care, again, please call the church office.
Bible camp

We have 18 students attending Bible Camp this summer – this is wonderful!
Our Lenten supper and Palm Sunday breakfast monies help to pay for our campers. This year we raised $1,333 – thanks to all who participated. We also put in for matching Thrivent Funds. We still fall short of what is needed. We are selling stock in our campers – Consider this an investment in their spiritual development. Stock is $25.00 per share. You can purchase stock for a particular child (this may be a good investment for Parish Pals) or in the group as a whole. Along with your stock certificate, you will receive a personal report on their Bible Camp experience. Please contact Deb or the church office if you are interested.
The campers will leave on July 26th and return July 31st. We invite all students and their families to worship on Sunday July 19th @ 9:00 am for a sending Blessing.
Vacation Bible School

Mark your calendars – V.B.S. is planned for Wed. August 12th. A one day event. This year’s theme is “Crocodile Dock” – Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light. Please join us for a day of discovery from 11:30 to 5:00.
We welcome all students entering kindergarten through 6th grade.

Organist needed
With one of our organists retiring, Zion is in need of an organist to play on some Sundays, especially beginning in the fall. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please contact the church office 582-2818 or Jackie Joanis.
National Youth Gathering

We are all getting very excited for our trip to the ELCA National Youth Gathering. We depart on Amtrak July 21st and will return on July 27th. We look forward to serving the people of New Orleans. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare to travel.
