Prayer list

Recently I was talking to a member of our congregation who felt that more care, needs to be given to members who are on our prayer list in the Sunday Bulletin, In our busy lives it is hard to take the time to do something extra for someone else. Remember that not all members have a support system (family, friends and co-workers) and may need extra care. As Christians, Jesus tells us we need to love our neighbors as ourselves. Love includes care for the sick or hurt. Our committee discussed the subject and decided that we would put that responsibility back on all Zion Members.
Here’s what we suggest:

  1. Check the prayer list weekly.
  2. Pray for that person.
  3. Decide if you would like to take it one step further by making a visit, sending a card, etc., helping that person with tasks they are unable to do, or making a meal for that person or family.
